The 27th Annual Vizcaya Halloween Sundowner took place at the beautiful Vizcaya Museum and Gardens located at 3251 South Miami Avenue in Miami, Florida on October 26, 2013. The event was an unforgettable evening of food, drinks, music, and an imaginational array of costumes! All proceeds of the event benefited the promotion, protection, and preservation of the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.
Vizcaya is a beautifully captivating American Villa in the Heart of Miami. The South Florida landmark was constructed by James Deering of the Deering McCormick-International Harvester fortune who was an industrialist executive during the 1800s and and early part of the 20th century. The gorgeous villa sits on 180 acres of land which was a perfect setting for the 27th Annual Vizcaya Halloween Sundowner.
The event opened at 7pm with an hour of cocktails and entertainment on the forecourt of the famous villa. At 8pm, the doors opened to the terrace as hundreds mingled as Iron Man, Scarface and Elvira, Transformers, Ringmasters, Super-Heroes, 12-foot cryptkeepers, butterflies, vampires, and many more!
Delicious food was served throughout the premise for those in attendance and the event was followed up by a costume contest. The party continued until midnight where it moved to Segafredo’s in Brickell.
If you missed the awesome Halloween Sundowner party at Vizcaya you can still visit the beautiful national historic landmark as they welcome visitors every day except Tuesdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information on guided tours and facility rentals, visit them at www.vizcaya.org.
