AIDS Walk Miami is one of oldest and largest AIDS walks in the country. The walk is a 5K (3.1 mile) walk-a-thon that benefits Care Resource, a 501[c](3) non-profit, multi-cultural, community based AIDS service organization providing Primary Medical Care, Dental, Psychosocial, Case Management, Outreach and Prevention, Food Bank, Home Delivered Meals and Nutritional counseling and education to over 15,000 residents living in Miami-Dade and Broward counties who are either affected or infected with HIV/AIDS.
The fundraiser also benefits Food For Life Network Food Bank providing meals and groceries, as well as nutritional counseling and education, to eliminate malnutrition and starvation in children and adults living with HIV/AIDS.
The course is 3.1 miles (5K) starting outside the Miami Beach Convention Center and ending at the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens. Registration begins at 8:00am. The Walk begins promptly at 9:00am.
