“Let’s Go!” in Italian, and you’ll know why Andiamo Brick Oven Pizza is called just that! This is our favorite pizza joint when we are in the Miami area and are craving a great pie. Andiamo is a uniquely positioned pizzeria right off of 55th street and Biscayne Boulevard that has been around since 2001. This pizza joint has definitely made a name for itself with people from all over.
The times we’ve frequented Andiamo, we have NEVER left disappointed. They serve quality brick oven baked pizzas that are incomparable. You can build your own pizza, or you can try one of their 26 signature pies. Our favorite signature pie is the Godfather. The Godfather, is THE GODFATHER of all pizzas. This pie comes loaded with Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, Meatballs, Onions, Peppers, Mushrooms, Olives, Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses. Wow! Just thinking about it makes me want to go grab one and go. We have also tried several others that are also noteworthy. The traditional pepperoni pizza is a must have if you want to stick to the basic before graduating to something like the Godfather. Very tasty. We also built a prosciutto, sausage, and pepperoni pie that was amazing. You can get as creative as you want with a myriad of unique toppings like Caramelized Onions, Red Onions, White Mushrooms, Portobello, Potatoes, Bell Peppers, Roasted Peppers, Spinach, Arugula, Roma Tomato, Basil Pesto, Artichokes, Black Olives, Eggplant, Broccoli Rabe, Hot Cherry Peppers, Zucchini, Anchovies, Roasted Garlic, Fresh Garlic, and meats and cheeses like Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, Prosciutto, Chicken Breast, Ham, Salami, Pancetta, Meatballs, Mozzarella, Fresh Mozzarella, Goat, Smoked Gouda, Parmesan, Gorgonzola, Ricotta, and Provolone.
Pizzas are mastered with making a delicious sauce. The sauce can’t be too sweet, nor can it be too salty. It cannot have too much of any one ingredient that’ll overpower the tomato. Making pizza sauce is an art that’ll make or ruin a pie. Andiamo has mastered their sauce that has earned them the title for best pizzeria in Miami hands down, and will have Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, Michelangelo yelling “Cowabunga!”
The dough is evenly and flawlessly baked in a brick oven that brings crispy edges to a tender center. You can taste the freshness of all of the ingredients used by them. Andiamo Brick Oven Pizza steals the “better ingredients, better pizza” puffery from, well, you know who.
The only gripe we have about this place is that you have to pay for street parking…but trust us, their pizza is worth the few extra bucks!
