Live on stage and in color for the first time, Broadway in Miami presented by Bank of America brings you I Love Lucy to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County’s Ziff Ballet Opera House. Staged and directed by Rick Sparks, I Love Lucy Live on Stage lets you relive the most beloved television show in history. In a 1952 studio setting, the show takes you into the Desilu Playhouse in Hollywood, California as a live studio audience member that re-creates an era in transition.
Join the actors who play America’s favorite foursome Lucy, Ricky, Fred, and Ethel as they film two of the show’s episodes (The Benefit and Lucy Has Her Eyes Examined) right before our eyes. A host throughout the filming entertains the audience in-between scenes to explain many of the occurrences we do not see on this new invention called the “television.” As the show is brought to you by many sponsors, the Crystaltone Singers serenade you to jingles from “Brylcreem,” “Alka-Seltzer,” “Chevrolet,” and many more!
I Love Lucy Live on Stage is a witty and cleverly engaging production that leaves the audience waiting for the filming of the next episode! Now playing from September 30th – October 5th, “You has son ‘splaining tu do” if you don’t catch I Love Lucy Live on Stage!
