Favorite films from the 1940s through the 1990s serves as inspiration for the art exhibition, IRL (In Reel Life): From Celluloid to Cellular, Recasting the Classics Through Graphic Design, which will open with a reception at the Miami Beach Cinematheque on Tuesday, December 5th, and will run through the month. Produced by Miami Beach’s own Jacober Creative, an award-winning design and marketing studio, the works are their takes on American film culture, as filtered through the lens of the usually disposable medium of Instagram, recast onto everyday “objects of desire.” The exhibit will feature the team’s 3-D graphic design interpretations of 12 classic American films, including Barbarella, The Birds, Carrie and West Side Story, and more.
Time: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
