Once The Musical

The Bank of America Broadway in Fort Lauderdale kicks off its 2015-2016 season presenting the Broadway Musical “Once” as it strummed its way into the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Once, the winner of 8 Tony Awards in 2012 including Best Musical is a heartfelt musical adaptation of the indie Irish film. From the first note strum to the very last, Once The Musical charmingly connects us to the power of music. It is an unforgettable story of never giving up on your dreams, living a fearless life, and taking chances. The expressive cast tells a tale of struggling Dublin street musician Guy (Stuart Ward), who’s on the verge of letting go of his musical dreams. Working with his dad fixing vacuum cleaners, Guy meets Girl (Dani De Waal). Girl is captivated with Guy’s haunting love songs and guitar playing talent, and encourages him to pursue his dreams. The chemistry developed between these two extract a newfound height of their musical artistry. Girl, a pianist herself, manages a 24-hour set in a studio to record with Guy and other friends. As their romance grows between each other, an unlikely turn of events separates them.

Don’t miss the opportunity to feel the music, clap your hands, and stomp your feet to Once The Musical at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts now until October 18, 2015!
