South Florida JAZZ presents Stanley Jordan Trio – April 8th

Join South Florida JAZZ for its ongoing concert series presenting Stanley Jordan Trio at the Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center on Saturday, April 8, 2017.

Stanley Jordan is the most gifted guitarists of his generation, renowned as the uncontested master of the spectacular two-handed tap technique that allows him to play rhythm and melody simultaneously. Perhaps more astounding is his ability to play guitar and piano simultaneously, switching the melody from one instrument to the other seamlessly. Stanley Jordan is, however, much more than a technical phenomenon. His interpretations – from Bach to Bird to the Beatles – are true masterpieces. But the strength and depth of his multi-faceted music stem from his belief in the power of his art. For Stanley, making music has always been more than just entertainment; it is a genuine restorative journey, which will inspire and heal the soul, in the immediate and utterly therapeutic sense of the word.
